Anyway I am obsessed with Kinder chocolate and so whenever I see any new (to me) Kinder thing I CAN'T SAY NO!

These were all right... there was none of the typical Kinder "Milk" stuff in it though! It was like a white cake-y bread-y sandwich with a layer of chocolate cream with chocolate chips in it in the middle. The bread was pretty dry and none of it tasted that great, but they were still yummy and satisfying enough for me! 3.5Juliehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01500471539545514828noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6875720576681166605.post-4519640833554604252009-03-12T02:34:00.000-07:002009-03-12T02:48:45.140-07:00MACAROONS GALORE!<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_Hb-kYbbfhTM/SbjXlOuabcI/AAAAAAAACEI/3FtmxszieGo/s320/IMG_1394.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5312232795091398082" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiKTxyoPYydt2sdQNESKXKGIupIvNNARHZlf2hWQqmLTr5q5XFzx6iXDkK8Hzs9It4C-BlhoNqAVIl9BHp-lgzJP6W8AM54_KW3UNXOLw_es9nCxU93laW4owPaANsKk6jDcslaayC2fWt2/s320/IMG_1390.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5312232783870358834" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgGV1lEbL9f0RoZSnw0BkAu8_kjA9rbZl_PFWDowec-p_i4Nwi5HBhoGgKsrpADTRuYnLEAaxEuMScK584xliZKMgD9rXscrTx7Fj3VhACg1O5oV0hbXmVklUNTcGf80ZbRjFztVQC2Ysx6/s320/IMG_1391.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5312232786334972994" />

Ever since my family trip to Europe in 2006, all four of us have been OBSESSED with French macaroons. Like we spend our days hunting for places to find them in Chicago, spend our weekends trying to translate recipes from French and then perfectly recreate them in our kitchen. We've searched high and low and haven't really been able to find any that matched the amazing deliciousness of the ones we tried in Paris.....

UNTIL RIGHT NOW!

It was like Macaroon heavennnnnnnn! First I went with Jenny into Fortnum & Mason just so that our eyes would dazzle and our mouths would water because it is like a candy chocolate tea masterpiece work of art inside that place....and I saw in the window display that they had macaroons! SOoooooooo we both decided to splurge (or as K.B. would say "splurt") on something and I just had to get myself a "jolly".... the giant macaroon that was blood orange flavored! IT EVEN HAD TWO SLICES OF BLOOD ORANGE IN IT! Ooohhh it was pretty delicious! But I will be honest, it was maybe TOO gooey/liquid-y. Delicious, but just a little too sloppy on the inside. 4!

THEN, as we were on a hunt for smoothies we came across this place called "cilantro cafe" which had smoothies and looked adorable so we went in, only to find THEY ALSO HAD GIANT MACAROONS! Completely in awe of my new found fortune, I could not say no. Jenny and I split the giant chocolate macaroon and it even came with cream on the side. And let me tell you, THIS DID NOT DISAPPOINT! It was absolutely PERFECT, just like I remember macaroons being... really crispy thin outside with chewey inside and gooey chocolate stickyness and creamy chocolate filling inside.... PERFECT I TELL YOU!! 5++++++++++Juliehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01500471539545514828noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6875720576681166605.post-12115071895030018632009-02-21T13:17:00.000-08:002009-02-21T13:26:35.028-08:00Cadbury Fudge Bar<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_Hb-kYbbfhTM/SaBwd4H3IPI/AAAAAAAABaE/49x8ep9uzuM/s320/IMG_0410.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5305364019626320114" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_Hb-kYbbfhTM/SaBwd2ZLIHI/AAAAAAAABZ8/5zzBdAmg_TU/s320/IMG_0409.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5305364019162062962" />

FALSE ADVERTISING! This "Fudge" bar was such a disappointment, you have no idea :( I expected delicious chocolatey fudge when I bit into it... and what I got was some weird thing that tasted like nothing. Last time I checked, fudge was "a type of confectionery which is usually very sweet, extremely rich and sometimes flavored with cocoa". That was definitely not what I tasted :( Yeaaaaaaah it was like some bland weird pasty chewy thing that was maybe a little sweet but not really. Seriously, if it were filled with real fudge it would be the best thing EVER!! C'mon Cadbury, don't let me down like this! 0Juliehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01500471539545514828noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6875720576681166605.post-62096818660488255462009-02-02T04:51:00.000-08:002009-02-02T05:00:28.100-08:00MEGA UPDATE PART 2<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: undefinedpx; height: undefinedpx;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_Hb-kYbbfhTM/SYbs9_DMV-I/AAAAAAAAA2g/ihb_xqeEuQQ/s320/IMG_0250.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5298182561288968162" />

Eh this was just ok. It maybe tasted a little chemical-y but eh I don't mind I guess! 3.5Juliehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01500471539545514828noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6875720576681166605.post-3922126697970683322009-02-02T04:30:00.000-08:002009-02-02T04:51:03.205-08:00MEGA UPDATE PART 1So I have severely neglected this blog even though I have definitely not neglected eating chocolate. At all. So here is part 1 or a 2 part mega update! Enjoy.

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: undefinedpx; height: undefinedpx;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_Hb-kYbbfhTM/SYbpYKFVLEI/AAAAAAAAA2I/-dKmVbBvmCM/s320/IMG_0104.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5298178612880813122" />

First the Cadbury Freddo bar. How cute is it that it's even shaped like a frog for real! It's basically a milk chocolate frog shaped thing with nice delicious caramel inside. And it's the gooey kind, not the super thick chewy kind of caramel. Yummm. These are super good and I'm definitely going to get more.... lucky they're cheap because they;re kinda tiny! 4 for the Freddo bar! Cadbury can probably do no wrong.

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: undefinedpx; height: undefinedpx;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_Hb-kYbbfhTM/SYbpYD7VBZI/AAAAAAAAA2A/HXJGyBB-NTA/s320/IMG_0228.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5298178611228247442" />

Ok I SOOOOOO wanted this to be amazingly delicious. I love chocolate and caramel together even though I don't really like caramel all that much. But I was really let down by this :( Tragic, I know. It was still GOOD, but the caramel wasn't gooey it was kinda thick and.... more dry? If that makes sense? I don't know. I'll definitely go for the Freddo's over this any day. 3.

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: undefinedpx; height: undefinedpx;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_Hb-kYbbfhTM/SYbpXxD--MI/AAAAAAAAA14/iiqnysp9Wbo/s320/IMG_0161.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5298178606164277442" />

FRUIT AND NUT BARS. ARE. MY NEW. OBSESSION. I'm not going to lie... I've had them with my breakfast like 4 times already. I crave them all the time! I can't stop eating them! I buy them in bulk! Not really but I would if I could. They are amazinggggg and I don't know why, it's not like they're anything too special. They're just regular dairy milk with raisins and almonds in it but for some reason it is like..... unbelievably addictingly delicious. I can't get enough. These things will clog my arteries and drain my wallet and I won't even care. 5!!!

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: undefinedpx; height: undefinedpx;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_Hb-kYbbfhTM/SYbpXkpUdLI/AAAAAAAAA1w/EASl8tA9SvE/s320/IMG_0156.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5298178602831213746" />

I saw this at ASDA and basically I think I wanted to buy it because 1, I recognized it was Polish and I was proud of myself, and 2 I was hoping maybe the creamy looking stuff would be like the Kinder milky stuff. WRONG. This was disappointing. The creamy middle stuff reminded me of something I can't place, probably some Polish candy I used to eat when I was little, I don't know. But I didn't really like the taste of it and I didn't even finish eating it--shocking, I know. 1.Juliehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01500471539545514828noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6875720576681166605.post-40040244880667390982009-01-23T15:12:00.000-08:002009-01-23T15:13:36.470-08:00Once again, THANK YOU CADBURY!Juliehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01500471539545514828noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6875720576681166605.post-85891855875599067632009-01-19T08:15:00.000-08:002009-01-19T08:39:37.106-08:00Cadbury Dairy Milk<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: undefinedpx; height: undefinedpx;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_Hb-kYbbfhTM/SXSsE0L-xYI/AAAAAAAAARs/NYUZke9L6b0/s320/IMG_0102.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5293044660795524482" />
<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: undefinedpx; height: undefinedpx;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_Hb-kYbbfhTM/SXSsEdW_HvI/AAAAAAAAARk/cutOBL5GwM0/s320/IMG_0101.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5293044654667669234" />

THIS CHOCOLATE IS THE BEST CHOCOLATE EVER! IT IS SO GOOD. It's really weird... very unusual and it doesn't exactly sound like something I'd love to eat, as it is "Rich buscuit mixed with sultanas, glace cherries, coconut and a chocolate flavored coating, topped with white chocolate curls". First of all, sultanas are rasisins, apparently. Second of all, biscuit means cookie, right? I have nooooooo idea where the cookie/biscuit is in this product. It's like a strange moist yet flaky/crunchy-ish slab of fudge kind of... with lots of yummy stuff mixed in! The cherries, coconut and raisins are a nice addition and it's overall very addicting to eat this stuff. Yay tiffin gets a 4.5 out of 5!Juliehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01500471539545514828noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6875720576681166605.post-5636074324605913842009-01-13T10:05:00.000-08:002009-01-13T10:56:59.573-08:00Choccy Woccy Doo Dah Cakes!<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: undefinedpx; height: undefinedpx;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEia4BR4lg7Vk-J5bvHGW-QGoLtEO7vgPqLe4Pmyv2_qHYBI-Ke6DiYb1eRpOy_qQVxYUzP_ewfBBmpSxpM3YQ1EkiPSN724SCARhmxrr2z__hbaZnrdRpKFI352yY2jbnQGsdRVFMJwl65T/s320/IMG_0092.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5290841726675304066" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: undefinedpx; height: undefinedpx;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi5r-T7GSxiAcTUGTpye5y4bV1DuBP81lslXtcoooWdDvms13exLV25logLD57uGTRGZXzn0lZgJt01EVwl5S0Oo-TDEwC7XTTca9e5aG_cOqTIo_7BSl0FHOVi9LjaB4BGOPzCXznSwjwi/s320/IMG_0093.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5290841731128008882" />

WOWIE! A billion thanks to Ally for taking Jenny and I to the amazing place known as Choccy woccy doodah!

Where do I even begin? Ok well so we ordered two between the three of us, a lemon cake which chocolate ganache between the layers, and a chocolate truffle cake also with chocolate ganash between layers. And they came with ice cream and some strawberries on the side. All of that, those hugeeeee pieces of cake, ALL FOR 8 POUNDS. Seriously you can't tell from the photo but the pieces of cake are gigantic! Totally 100% worth it, I say!

The cakes are covered in chocolate instead of frosting, which is a crazy cool idea. And they have little delicious gummy hearts sprinkled on them, it is too cute. Ok so the Lemon one is the one I tried first, it is DELICIOUS. Incredibly moist and rich but the lemon isn't too overpowering or strong, and the chocolate ganache is deeeeeeee-licious. And there is chocolate and strawberry sauce drizzled around on the plate which is just amazingly scrumptious for dipping the cake into.

The chocolate truffle cake was also delicious but was a little bit dry and i just get sad when cakes are dry. But it was still sooooo wonderful! And both came with some vanilla ice cream that was equally tasty!

The little shop is great, tiny and crazily colorful. When we got there the windows were all fogged up, I would have never noticed it or bothered to go in but I am sooooo glad Ally knew about it to take us there! After we filled up our tummies and were conquered by the cake, we took a stroll over to their storefront where you can actually buy their cakes and other chocolatey delights, and it is AMAZING INSIDE!!! Oh it was like Heaven! It kind of reminds me of what Madame Puddifoots would be like in Harry Potter.... except that you don't sit and eat there it's just a store front. But it is incredible! Oh also they played Four Tet and Sigur Ros, how lovely!

They get a 5 for the experience alone, TOTALLY GREAT EVERYONE NEEDS TO GO!
http://www.choccywoccydoodah.com/Juliehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01500471539545514828noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6875720576681166605.post-54901850895840615172009-01-12T15:01:00.000-08:002009-01-18T06:14:00.053-08:00Cadbury Crunchie<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: undefinedpx; height: undefinedpx;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_Hb-kYbbfhTM/SWvM4Waf7rI/AAAAAAAAAQ0/aQ4SeqatN38/s320/IMG_0090.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5290547455738244786" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: undefinedpx; height: undefinedpx;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_Hb-kYbbfhTM/SWvM30_WQpI/AAAAAAAAAQs/dV6loKmP4tk/s320/IMG_0089.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5290547446765994642" />

Hmmm so today I bought a Cadbury Crunchie and I just don't know what to make of it.
It's "milk chocolate with a golden honey combed center" which intrigued me VERY MUCH. Buttttt well it started good and interesting so I kept eating and then it got weird so I had to take the rest in small pieces but it was still enjoyable but now I just kind of feel gross and I don't know if I liked it or not. It's like this thin layer of milk chocolate covering this very bizarre center that I really am not sure how to describe... crunchy for sure but in an odd chemical-ish way. I will have to think about this one for a while before I make up my mind. Oh well!

------
Eh no I just dont like it. I cant ever see myself wanting to buy one of these again. :( 1/5.Juliehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01500471539545514828noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6875720576681166605.post-61859862658327444922009-01-10T06:00:00.000-08:002009-01-10T11:42:30.173-08:00Mars Planets<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: undefinedpx; height: undefinedpx;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_Hb-kYbbfhTM/SWj57tQW6vI/AAAAAAAAAQk/GeaoXLYrYT8/s320/IMG_0067.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5289752566502451954" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: undefinedpx; height: undefinedpx;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_Hb-kYbbfhTM/SWj57KbPtDI/AAAAAAAAAQc/op2GPHCkZ_w/s320/IMG_0065.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5289752557152875570" />

So these things are called Mars Planets and HEY GUESS WHAT? They're pretty good! They are special I guess because there is one soft, one crispy, and one chewy little chocolate covered ball thing. The soft one is basically like a round little Three Musketeer's bar with nougat-y stuff in it, the crispy one is kind of like a malted milk ball maybe, and then chewy one is caramel inside I think. I for one am pretty satisfied and impressed! And there is a good amount in the package, hoorah!

Good job Mars Planets, you get a 4 our of 5!Juliehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01500471539545514828noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6875720576681166605.post-75056099724848502002009-01-09T08:57:00.000-08:002009-01-10T11:42:52.152-08:00Cadbury ShortcakeENOUGH OF THIS.
I DECIDED THAT I AM BLOGGING ABOUT BRITISH CANDY AND COOKIES AND STUFF FROM NOW ON, THAT'S IT!

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: undefinedpx; height: undefinedpx;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_Hb-kYbbfhTM/SWeDMrjM9TI/AAAAAAAAAQU/tzuyMAD9IMY/s320/IMG_0063.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5289340541241980210" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: undefinedpx; height: undefinedpx;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_Hb-kYbbfhTM/SWeDMF_MoTI/AAAAAAAAAQM/P1uAsrK0qUQ/s320/IMG_0062.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5289340531158851890" />

When at Asda, I bought some of these Cadbury Shortcake things becaue they looked kind of like normal cookies and they say "for chocolate lovers" on them. I figured it was a safe bet, right?

WRONG.

Well ok, they aren't terrible. But they kind of are. I would never ever call this a cookie. The cookie part is very flaky and crunchy, but it pretty much lacks any kind of flavor. It tastes like nothing... more like a saltine but worse because at least saltines have flavor. Then, the chocolate tastes like..... not chocolate. I don't even know what it tastes like. I kind of want to say fruity for some reason but it isn't really all that fruity. It's really quite strange. I mean really they aren't that bad, I will eat them and I will enjoy it, but it's just weird ok? Sooo I say... out of 5 stars, these cookies get 2. Or 1.5 Oh well. All the other food I have had here has been pretty yummy! I bought 4 things of new candy and chocolate bars today so those will be coming up soon!

Oh on an unrelated note, go download the song "The Gardener" by The Tallest Man On Earth because it is amazing and you will love it. I have had it on repeat all night last night and all day today.Juliehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01500471539545514828noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6875720576681166605.post-21322003683098336662009-01-07T14:20:00.000-08:002009-01-07T14:27:32.398-08:00Ehhhhhhhhhh I kinda want to give up on this blog already.

Here are pictures:

Juliehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01500471539545514828noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6875720576681166605.post-91916403450788430772009-01-03T08:04:00.000-08:002009-01-06T11:29:05.924-08:00DONUT DISCOTHEQUE<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: undefinedpx; height: undefinedpx;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi0NA3hyphenhyphenz42p6gI5GtLYVHyJNxWeTnHXDPoFi8RnASussPZ32JQp24WdDUOLdcOpOIB3d2XGlJFRiru_jq_f7LgpRYHaa5P2nwHLsk79S9xzyXVcIymFsED81ugDcztHE7FhkgqNSGGl_Hr/s320/IMG_0005.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5288264815097322722" />

I am sittin gon the couch at dear Frankie's flat right now, using her wirelss internet to write this before I go to Brighton tomorrow.
