Cadbury Dairy Milk

THIS CHOCOLATE IS THE BEST CHOCOLATE EVER! Hershey's has NOTHING on Dairy Milk. Nothingggggggg. Just when I thought maybe I was getting sick of plain old milk chocolate, these amazing gifts from heaven come along. Thank you, Cadbury, for making dairy milk. It's like Hershey's but ten thousand times better, it doesn't taste like chemicals at all, it just tastes chocolate-y and deeeeeeelicious. Amazing!

5/5!

Tiffin!

So I had heard lots of good things about this "Tiffin" stuff, and with Ally's additional enthusiasm towards the food, I decided to try some. IT IS SO GOOD. It's really weird... very unusual and it doesn't exactly sound like something I'd love to eat, as it is "Rich buscuit mixed with sultanas, glace cherries, coconut and a chocolate flavored coating, topped with white chocolate curls". First of all, sultanas are rasisins, apparently. Second of all, biscuit means cookie, right? I have nooooooo idea where the cookie/biscuit is in this product. It's like a strange moist yet flaky/crunchy-ish slab of fudge kind of... with lots of yummy stuff mixed in! The cherries, coconut and raisins are a nice addition and it's overall very addicting to eat this stuff. Yay tiffin gets a 4.5 out of 5!

Choccy Woccy Doo Dah Cakes!

WOWIE! A billion thanks to Ally for taking Jenny and I to the amazing place known as Choccy woccy doodah!

Where do I even begin? Ok well so we ordered two between the three of us, a lemon cake which chocolate ganache between the layers, and a chocolate truffle cake also with chocolate ganash between layers. And they came with ice cream and some strawberries on the side. All of that, those hugeeeee pieces of cake, ALL FOR 8 POUNDS. Seriously you can't tell from the photo but the pieces of cake are gigantic! Totally 100% worth it, I say!

The cakes are covered in chocolate instead of frosting, which is a crazy cool idea. And they have little delicious gummy hearts sprinkled on them, it is too cute. Ok so the Lemon one is the one I tried first, it is DELICIOUS. Incredibly moist and rich but the lemon isn't too overpowering or strong, and the chocolate ganache is deeeeeeee-licious. And there is chocolate and strawberry sauce drizzled around on the plate which is just amazingly scrumptious for dipping the cake into.

The chocolate truffle cake was also delicious but was a little bit dry and i just get sad when cakes are dry. But it was still sooooo wonderful! And both came with some vanilla ice cream that was equally tasty!

The little shop is great, tiny and crazily colorful. When we got there the windows were all fogged up, I would have never noticed it or bothered to go in but I am sooooo glad Ally knew about it to take us there! After we filled up our tummies and were conquered by the cake, we took a stroll over to their storefront where you can actually buy their cakes and other chocolatey delights, and it is AMAZING INSIDE!!! Oh it was like Heaven! It kind of reminds me of what Madame Puddifoots would be like in Harry Potter.... except that you don't sit and eat there it's just a store front. But it is incredible! Oh also they played Four Tet and Sigur Ros, how lovely!

They get a 5 for the experience alone, TOTALLY GREAT EVERYONE NEEDS TO GO!

Cadbury Crunchie

Hmmm so today I bought a Cadbury Crunchie and I just don't know what to make of it.
It's "milk chocolate with a golden honey combed center" which intrigued me VERY MUCH. Buttttt well it started good and interesting so I kept eating and then it got weird so I had to take the rest in small pieces but it was still enjoyable but now I just kind of feel gross and I don't know if I liked it or not. It's like this thin layer of milk chocolate covering this very bizarre center that I really am not sure how to describe... crunchy for sure but in an odd chemical-ish way. I will have to think about this one for a while before I make up my mind. Oh well!

------
Eh no I just dont like it. I cant ever see myself wanting to buy one of these again. :( 1/5.

Mars Planets

So these things are called Mars Planets and HEY GUESS WHAT? They're pretty good! They are special I guess because there is one soft, one crispy, and one chewy little chocolate covered ball thing. The soft one is basically like a round little Three Musketeer's bar with nougat-y stuff in it, the crispy one is kind of like a malted milk ball maybe, and then chewy one is caramel inside I think. I for one am pretty satisfied and impressed! And there is a good amount in the package, hoorah!

Good job Mars Planets, you get a 4 our of 5!

Cadbury Shortcake

ENOUGH OF THIS.
I DECIDED THAT I AM BLOGGING ABOUT BRITISH CANDY AND COOKIES AND STUFF FROM NOW ON, THAT'S IT!

When at Asda, I bought some of these Cadbury Shortcake things becaue they looked kind of like normal cookies and they say "for chocolate lovers" on them. I figured it was a safe bet, right?

WRONG.

Well ok, they aren't terrible. But they kind of are. I would never ever call this a cookie. The cookie part is very flaky and crunchy, but it pretty much lacks any kind of flavor. It tastes like nothing... more like a saltine but worse because at least saltines have flavor. Then, the chocolate tastes like..... not chocolate. I don't even know what it tastes like. I kind of want to say fruity for some reason but it isn't really all that fruity. It's really quite strange. I mean really they aren't that bad, I will eat them and I will enjoy it, but it's just weird ok? Sooo I say... out of 5 stars, these cookies get 2. Or 1.5 Oh well. All the other food I have had here has been pretty yummy! I bought 4 things of new candy and chocolate bars today so those will be coming up soon!

Oh on an unrelated note, go download the song "The Gardener" by The Tallest Man On Earth because it is amazing and you will love it. I have had it on repeat all night last night and all day today.

DONUT DISCOTHEQUE

I am sittin gon the couch at dear Frankie's flat right now, using her wirelss internet to write this before I go to Brighton tomorrow. Here is a list of things that have happened so far:

-Sat next to a super nice girl on the airplane; talked about the hottie known as Anderson Cooper, how we are both studying abroad, and all kinds of fun stuff.
-FOR THE FIRST TIME, I used an airplane bathroom. Be amazed, I know. It wasn't as terrifying as I expected!
-Watched a documentary about Zinedine Zidane on the airplane
-Got off the airplane and met a really nice girl who used to live in Eden Prairie for a while who is in Bible school in Southern Germany
-Arrived at Frankie's flat where I have had countless fun times with her, her son Matthew, his girlfriend Maria, and Frankie's friend Ihab.
-Ate tons of delicious food cooked by Frankie and Israeli food by Ihab.
-Went shopping with Matthew and Maria and got SUPER CUTE SHOES for the equivalent of something like $3.25 SERIOUSLY!
-Watched "Annie", "Step Up 2: The Streets", and a little bit of "The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift" with everyone,
-Went to Portabello market with Jenny and was tempted by a billion amazing old things.
-Bought the most amazingly large, sprinkley, delicious doughnut.

I think I will leave it on that note.

BRIGHTON TOMORROW!
